As a digital marketing specialist and software engineer at FoodCo Nigeria Limited, my primary goal was to develop and maintain FoodCo’s software suite and utilize digital technologies to promote FoodCo’s products and services.
My responsibilities included:
- Develop and execute a content marketing strategy to drive engagement, lead generation, and sales through blog posts, infographics, videos, social media and email marketing campaigns
- Develop and execute a retargeting and remarketing strategy to re-engage website visitors and increase conversions
- Search engine optimization (SEO) for both the corporate and product websites
- Developing and implementing social media marketing strategies, creating and managing social media content, and tracking and analyzing social media performance metrics.
- Identifying and targeting potential customers, developing and implementing strategies to acquire new customers, and measuring the effectiveness of customer acquisition efforts
- Setting up and managing ad campaigns, tracking and analyzing ad performance, and optimizing ad campaigns
- Managing local SEO listings for 18 physical stores across 3 cities using GMB.
- Use A/B testing to optimize website elements such as headlines, images, and calls to action
- Implement and manage a loyalty program to increase customer retention and repeat business
- Redesign and optimization of the company’s corporate website (corporate.foodco.ng)
- Development of the FoodCo HRMS platform and the FoodCo products site (sunfresh.ng)
- Development of a dashboard for internal processes
- Development of a web-based report storage platform
- Employee Service Request Management System

As a result of my efforts:
- Page load time reduced from 33 seconds to 5 seconds
- Organic search rankings improved from page 3 to the top 5
- Organic traffic increased by 121%
- Sign-ups via the website increased by 792%
- Conversion rate increased by 20%
- Bounce rate decreased by 15%
- Custom dashboard was created for monitoring key metrics.
